Now that Summer 2018 has officially come to an end, we welcome the change of season and breathe in the air of Fall. If you’re like me, the season change is not the only change you are juggling in your schedule. I know from working with so many of you, that sometimes change is not easy, and I thought why not address this today!
Having a company called Radical Change definitely invites the Universe to deliver big change into my clients lives but also continues to invite changes into my own personal life.
Sometimes, in life we are waiting for these big shifts, and sometimes change catches us by surprise and swipes us off our feet. Either way I would love for you to take this moment for what it is:
Change is good,
Change is often scary,
Change can be risky,
Change can challenge you,
Change can help us grow emotionally, physically, mentally, and energetically.
Why most clients (and myself included) shy away from change, it’s the fear of the unknown; and the unknown is scary because we lack control of our desired outcomes.
Here is something I want to share with you, if you are ever feeling “out of control”; I challenge you to find something you CAN control.
This can get tricky, so I wanted to walk you through a quick example on how I would use a situation and turn it around to focus on what I can control!
Let’s say I am starting a new job; your scared because not only is it a new position, it’s a change in career, change in environment, change of schedule, change in socialization, and much more. All this change can really cause someone to struggle internally. Here is the reality of this scenario; we cannot control the outcome of all these situations, but let’s look for
something we can control. More often or not we always can control our emotions, or the way we look/process a situation. If I was in this scenario, I would say to myself:
- “I can’t control the change in my work schedule, but I can control how I manage my time before or after work”.
or
- “I can’t control if my new employees will like me, but I can control how I represent my authentic self”.
Moral of the story, when you are feeling out of control due to change- reach for something you can control.
I hope this brings some clarity to you, as I am welcoming change into my own life.
Thank you Universe for always supporting me, and Thank you to my community for coming together and supporting each other!
Much Love,
Dr. Mary Oz
